Meet the Founder
Starting Haas Trade Advisors
Hello! My name is Nathan Haas, I am the founder and CEO of Haas Trade Advisors. Here is a quick blurb about me and my journey towards creating Haas Trade Advisors.
The creation of Haas Trade Advisors actually starts with my other company, Haas Trade (it is a financial coaching company if you would like to learn more check it out here: Why Haas Trade). During the Covid-19 pandemic I started helping people with their finances (budgeting, creating goals, getting out debt, etc). But when I finished working with clients I was having a hard time passing them along to Financial Advisors because they did not meet the minimum account balances.
I had people ready for the next step but no one willing to work with them. So I had the idea, why don't I just become a Financial Advisor? Then I can continue to work with these individuals who "graduate" from my financial coaching programs!
I joined a national financial advising company who branded themselves as "different" from the big firms but the longer I was there I realized they were just like the other major firms out there. Their fees were just as confusing and high as the rest of them. So I set out to create my own firm and be the change in the industry I wanted to see. Haas Trade Advisors was born!
The 3 Pillars of My Life
Faith
My first pillar is Faith. As a devout Christian my faith in Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross for me is what drives me each and everyday. My purpose is to live according to the word of God, be a good steward of all he has entrusted me with, share the gospel with others, and have a positive impact on my community, and all those I come in contact with.
Family
My second pillar is Family. Everything I do, I do with my family in mind. I love my family deeply and I aim to be the best husband, father, brother, and son possible. I fall short of this goal almost everyday but I strive to be better for them everyday.
Once you join Haas Trade you are joining our family and we will treat you as I would like my family to be treated.
Freedom
My third pillar is Freedom which has many meanings to me, as a Christian, military member, and human. It means freedom from the bondage of sin through my lord and savior Jesus Christ, personal freedom that we are blessed with by living in the United States of America (thank you to all those who are and have served!), and Financial Freedom. I have had the bondage of debt, the sleepless nights worrying if life will ever get better, and now my mission is to help those who are where I used to be!
About Me
I graduated from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and am currently serving as a 1st Lieutenant Civil Engineering Officer in the TN Air National Guard.
Before Haas Trade & Haas Trade Advisors I was an Airport Civil Engineer, which means I used to design airports. I love aviation and civil engineering but I have a far greater love of helping someone take control of their finances and their life.
When I am not working you can find me hanging out with my wife Juliana, our 2 Italian mobster sons, Giovanni and Vincent, and our three cats.
For hobbies, I love anything that I can drive. Such as four wheelers, UTV’s, skid steers, excavators, jet skis, boats, cars, tractors, and planes (I have my pilots license). I would love to have my own plane someday! I also enjoy learning, reading, hiking, traveling, playing/creating board games and being involved in our local church.
